Vern Paxson to Step Down from the IRTF
Posted October 15, 2004 – 5:10 pm by Yakov Shafranovich in PersonalI just noticed in the IAB minutes that Vern Paxson, the chair of the Internet Research Task Force (IRTF) is stepping down from his post at the next IETF meeting. Vern was the person who asked me to chair the ASRG and was very patient with me while I was “learning the ropes”. He was one of the best IETF/IRTF folks I have dealt with and I wish him the best of luck as he steps down.
