A Windows Alternative to Knoppix
Posted January 27, 2005 – 9:31 pm by Yakov Shafranovich in LinuxKnoppix has become a favorite tool among system administrators for rescuing Windows systems. Larry Seltzer points to a Windows-based tool called BartPE which does a similar job but is based on Windows instead of Linux. You do need a copy of Windows to use it since it uses system files from Windows (and I wonder if that violates Microsoft’s license).
