My Newest Hack: Searchable OPML directories
Posted December 16, 2005 – 4:07 pm by Yakov Shafranovich in Programming, ProjectsFor the last few days I have been trying to put together a list of resources on a specific topic all over the Internet AND make them all searchable (kind of like Google’s special searches). What I came up instead is the following:
1. I put the list of resources in an OPML file.
2. I wrote a small Perl/XSLT tool to automatically generate search boxes from the OPML file letting you search all of the sites included.
For some examples, see the following:
o All of the blogs in my blogroll
o Top 100 bloggers from CNET
o Reviews from Techcrunch
