Generic Tylenol Recall
Posted November 11, 2006 – 10:42 pm by Yakov Shafranovich in PersonalIn case you haven’t heard yet, there is a major recall (11 million bottles!) of generic Tylenol (acemitophen) 500 mg bottles due to possible contamination with metal particles. Recall notice can be found here and the list of brands affected is here.
Interesingly enough, the FDA thinks that this can cause only minor problems:
…if a consumer were to swallow an affected caplet, it could result in minor stomach discomfort and/or possible cuts to the mouth or throat. Consumers should consult their physician if they suspect they’ve been harmed by use of this product.
