“SunPlus” Opt-out Instructions
Posted November 30, 2006 – 3:27 pm by Yakov Shafranovich in PersonalThis is primarily for people in the Baltimore area.
One of the annoying pieces of snail-mail spam that comes to my house everyday, is a set of advertisements distributed by the Baltimore Sun called “Sun Plus”. After searching long and hard for information on opt-out, I found that the number to opt-out from their mailing list is:
410-332-6317
Just leave your name and address on the machine.

Thanks a lot for posting that number. The only SunPlus reference I could find on the Baltimore Sun’s site was for ad pricing.

I have requested probably half a dozen times to be removed from the SunPlus mailing route. I have even spoken to a real person who took my information. Yet the thing still keeps coming.
The things are littering the city neighborhoods sitting on people’s lawns, on the sidewalks, in the gutters. Soggy rotting piles of paper. So annoying.
I am very seriously considering collecting them over the next couple of weeks and dumping a huge box of them back onto the steps of the Sun. Return the favor.
